Study ObjectsVulvar lichen sclerosus (VLS) is a chronic skin disease that affects the of vulva with itching, irritation, and pain. It may present in prepubertal or adolescent patient. The etiology VLS remains unclear. Autoimmune, genetic, hormonal, infectious conditions be involved pathogenesis [1]. Recent studies suggested unbalanced microbiota region [2-4]. We thus hypothesized alterations microbiotas contribute to development VLS. To evaluate compositional characteristics differences vulvar microbiota, we performed pilot case-control study by comparing girls Labial adhesions healthy controls.Materials MethodsWe recruited total 45 patients outpatient Pediatric Adolescent Gynecology clinic Children's Hospital Zhejiang University from October 2021 June 2022.
